Marisa Kirisame, Reimu's best friend and a skilled magician, noticed Reimu's strange behavior and sought out the reason. She discovered the brainwashing and the mysterious loan but was too late. Reimu was now under the control of the financial institution, forced to seek out and siphon spiritual energy from other youkai and on occasion, humans. Marisa embarked on a perilous journey to save her friend, navigating through the complex web of Gensokyo's factions and forging unexpected alliances. Meanwhile, Reimu, trapped in her brainwashed state, was taken deeper into the heart of the institution's stronghold.

The mysterious financial institution vanished as suddenly as it appeared, leaving behind a whispered warning among the inhabitants of Gensokyo: beware of loans with too-good-to-be-true terms, and be especially wary of the phrase "Kei Kei Kei."
